Building internal tools
MCP Builder
This skill is a guided way to connect Claude to an outside system you use, your CRM, your database, an internal app, by building a small custom connector. It's how a generic assistant becomes one that knows your business.
An AI assistant is only as useful as what it can reach. Out of the box it doesn't know your CRM, your database, or the internal tool your team lives in. Connecting it to those is what turns a generic helper into one that actually works on your business.
What it is
An official Anthropic skill that walks through building that connection: a small connector, an MCP server, that lets Claude read from and act in one of your systems. It's the honest path from "the assistant can chat" to "the assistant can look up a customer, check an order, update a record."
The business outcome
Your assistant starts working with your real systems instead of talking around them. The work that needed a person to bridge two tools by hand, copy a value from here to there, look something up and paste it back, becomes something the assistant does directly.
How we'd set it up with you
This is a build, and it's exactly the kind we do with you. We work out which system is worth connecting first, what the assistant should be able to do there, and where the limits belong, then build the connector and the safeguards around it. You get something wired to your business, and we teach your team enough to maintain it, or keep it running for you.
What to watch for
The skill itself is official and well-supported. The care is in the connection: anything that can act in a real system needs clear limits and a record of what it did, which we design in from the start rather than bolt on later.
Ready when you are
Want this built into your business?
You can grab this yourself from the source. If you'd rather have it wired into your tools and your team trained to run it, that's what we do. The Free AI Opportunity Assessment is where we start.
