What the score measures

Built from what AI reads on your site

The score comes from what an AI engine can read on your own site, so it is the same every time you run it. Here is what we check.

  • AI-crawler access

    Can ChatGPT and Perplexity's crawlers even read your site? One line in a robots.txt file can make you invisible to them, and it's the most common problem we see.

  • Entity clarity

    Can a model tell what you do, who you serve, and where? This is the structured data and the plain description that let an engine place you instead of guessing a competitor.

  • On-page answerability

    Is there text a model can lift straight into an answer? Short FAQs and plain "we do X for Y in Z" lines get quoted. Clever taglines get skipped.

The competitor check

Labeled honestly, because that's the point

After you verify your email, we run one real query to Perplexity and an OpenAI model, the way a customer would ask: who are the best in your category near you. Results are simulated through each provider's API and are directional, not a guarantee of what any one person sees on any given day. We never fake a screenshot, and we never invent competitor names. If we can't read the answer cleanly, we say so and give you the deterministic report instead.

Common questions

Is the score really free?
Yes. The 0 to 100 score and your visible gaps cost nothing and need no signup. You only give a verified email to unlock who AI recommends and your top three fixes.
How is this different from other LLM visibility tools?
Most simulate a pile of prompts and count how often you get mentioned. Yours is built from verifiable signals on your own site, so it's reproducible: run it twice, same result. The live competitor check is a labeled bonus, not the whole product.
Is the competitor check a real ChatGPT screenshot?
No. We query each provider through its API and label the result as simulated and directional. It shows how these engines tend to answer the question a customer would ask, not a capture of one person's chat on one day. We never invent competitor names.
What do I do with the fixes?
Each fix tells you what's wrong, why AI cares, and exactly what to change. Many owners can apply them directly. If you'd rather have them done, Meridian can do the work.
Does entering my site sign me up for anything?
No. Your score runs without an email. Email only comes in when you choose to unlock the full report, and it's verified so the paid competitor check never fires on a fake address.
